Connectors of the Connect it series, which are manufactured by Pro-Ject, have different purposes and designs. The Connect it Phono 5P-C model is designed to connect a pickup (tonearm) to a phono preamplifier. The cable has conductors made of high-purity oxygen-free copper, an additional connector for grounding and full shielding.
Connect it Phono 5P-C is equipped with a 5-pin connector for connection to the tonearm, equipped with a corresponding output. At the other end of the cable there is a pair of RCA plugs for the preamplifier-corrector. In the basic version of this model, the 5-pin plug has a straight design, but there is a version with a connector turned by 90 degrees. Such a connection in some cases may be more convenient. The connectors have a special coating that ensures reliable electrical contact and does not lose its properties over time. The connector is available in lengths of 82, 123 or 185 centimeters, which allows you to choose the optimal model for each specific case.
This interconnect cable is optimized for working with a weak signal taken from the head of the sound pickup. The connectors are manufactured at the company's plant in Europe and are hand-made by experienced workers. Connect it Phono 5P-C has a small intrinsic resistance and capacity and, taking into account reliable shielding and high-quality connectors, has virtually no effect on the transmitted signal.
